Project Phobos

At Starbase Delta, our commander says any recruit has the potential to see the stars. Under Project Phobos, your time to shine has come. When the moon rises, the Undead come searching for new stars for their constellations.

Join Gator Humans versus Zombies from July 13th to the 17th for our weeklong! Will you fix the stars in this solar system, or will you become one with the undead astronauts?

Humans versus Zombies is a game of survival Nerf-Tag where you try and survive a whole weekend on campus battling zombies with a Nerf blaster, or you join the horde yourself and try to tag the hapless humans to convert them into zombies. It is completely free and open to anyone to play!

Loaner blasters will be provided to players who do not have their own. If you are bringing a modded or “performance” blaster, please see our Modifications Guide.

All players MUST attend a Rules Meeting to play!

Rules meetings are run every night the week of July 6 – 10 in Little Hall 127 from 6pm to 7pm. Players who need to loan a blaster will receive one at the end of the rules meeting (for free!), and players who are bringing their own must receive moderator approval in accordance with our Modifications Guide.

How Does A Weeklong Work?

• Play Between Classes
  • Most outdoor spaces are in play, while indoors you are safe and must safely stow your blasters
  • Daytime side missions are available for extra rewards
  • Before 7pm, only blasters with off-the-shelf shells can be used. They can have modified internals, but a passersby must be able to identify your blaster at a glance.
• Night Missions
  • 1 hour of dense gameplay every night to advance the story
  • Higher human rewards but zombies are more powerful
  • Blasters of any shells, even 3D printed, may be used AS LONG AS they still follow the Modifications Guide
• Player Point System
  • Highest earners at the end of the game will win a free customized blaster. (# of winners dependent on player count)
  • Points may be redeemed for power-ups or revives
  • Points are rewarded for things including but not limited to:
    • Attending Night Missions
    • Doing daytime side quests
    • Dart sweeping
    • Getting any tags as a zombie
